Grace is not a light thing. It is the heaviest gift heaven ever carried to earth — the full weight of divine mercy laid upon the shoulders of humanity. Grace is not permission to live carelessly; it is power to live righteously. It is not a gentle pat on the back of our sin, but the hammer that broke our chains. And the more we understand it, the more we realize that grace, while free, is not cheap.
